Accelerate!

While our message does not change, we must continually apply new skills, practices and technologies to help us to reach our culture.  Technology accelerators help us advance our message by allowing us to “speed forward” in the areas of our unique calling and passion  (”Hedgehog” according to Jim Collins).  Technology and new practices don’t create momentum in themselves, but help us to pour fuel on our progress.  Two technologies (which are also practices) that Compassion by Design believes can accelerate  momentum toward a more vital and missional Church both at home and abroad are:

Coaching-

The practice and technology of coaching comes from the business world, and at its heart it is a execution focused accountability system that is used by leaders the world over.  Now being applied to church planting in a significant way, we offer coaching to support the process of completing a needs assessment, grant coaching to accelerate your organization’s success and coaching for churches that want to implement the full Compassion by Design service based church model.  To request coaching on one of these topics, select the schedule tab to the left and after identifying the type of coaching, select an open date.

Ministry Telepresence-

Our society is rapidly approaching a “Jetson’s-like” experience in video communications.  We have been limited to low quality web streaming,  expensive uni-directional sattelite streaming or full TV production that puts out a signal in only one direction, neither of which is practical for the average church.   The availability of low-cost HD over IP is making multi-site and micro-site affordable with real telepresence.

Link many sites, Live.  This development means that any church can link a network of micro-sites or multi-sites with live  two-way HD video using nothing more than broadband cable.  Home groups and churches, cafe churches, distant auditoriums, missions leaders and others can now participate together, interact and benefit from teaching, worship, drama and the gifts shared by the body.  This development can accelerate us far faster than our use of DVD worship or week-old sermons on video.  The implications are significant for this accelerator.  Compassion by Design is currently partnering with ministries who want to demonstrate this accelerator in their multi-site, micro-site or missions setting.  To learn more call David Mills at 888-901-5335.
