Multi & Micro Site

Two important expressions of church life are multi-site and micro-site.

Def: Multi-site.

One church that meets at multiple locations, or one church that has multiple congregations within its walls. This trend began in 1980 and has grown to include thousands of churches today.

Def: Micro-site.

A small gathering of believers gathered in homes, businesses or other locations that has all the essential elements of church life and may or may not have a broader umbrella of church support.  These churches have various labels and structures and continue to persist as a growing segment of church life.

But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?
