When we talk about church growth, we are not referring to a marketing campaign or some way to get more bodies inside of a building. Instead, we are referring to missional churches who are focused on serving their communities.

Compassion by Design understands that churches provide an important basis for programs to improve community health, but often programs are implemented based on the church’s opinion of what the community should have rather than on data that document what the community actually needs.
The solution to obtaining church growth:
A community needs assessment. The needs assessment process has proved successful in forming community relationships, building community recognition and connecting the church more deeply with the community by understanding its needs.
